Bordeaux cannelés with organic vanilla flavouring

  • 50 cl milk
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g soft butter
  • 1 tbsp. rum
  • 250 g caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp. organic vanilla flavouring

Preparation:

1. Boil the milk with the tablespoon of organic vanilla flavouring.

2. Mix the flour and sugar in a bowl

3. Stir in all the eggs and add the boiling milk.

4. Mix gently to obtain a fluid dough and leave to cool.

5. Add the rum and leave to rest for 1 hour in the fridge.

6. Preheat oven to 240°C 7. Pour the chilled batter into the buttered moulds, filling them only half full.

8. Bake for about 12 minutes then lower the temperature to 180°C and continue baking for 1 hour.

9. Turn out and enjoy!
