Caramel flavoured custard

  • 50g milk 200g flour
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 100g melted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 8g baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons organic cocoa flavouring

1. Preheat oven to 240°C t8 then melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.

2. In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar.

3. Then add 2cc of organic cocoa flavouring, 40g of milk and the baking powder.

4. Add the melted butter and the rest of the milk to the mixture and leave to rest for 15 minutes.

5. Butter the madeleine moulds and pour the mixture into them.

6. Bake at 240°C, and after 5 minutes lower to 200°C; leave for another 10 minutes. Check the cooking time and remove the madeleines from the moulds!

7. Enjoy!
