I discoverOrganic strawberry flavoured donuts with icing
1 packet of baking powder
50 g caster sugar
1 pinch of salt
500 g flour
2 eggs
2 tablespoons organic strawberry flavouring
75 g butter
30 cl milk
For the glaze :
1 lemon
A few drops of food colouring
200 g icing sugar
1 egg white
Vermicelli, coloured or not in sugar
Preparation of the donuts :
1. In a bowl, mix the yeast with the previously warmed milk and leave for 5 minutes.
2. Now pour the yeast you have just dissolved, the eggs, the salt and the butter into a bowl. Add the 2 tablespoons of natural organic strawberry flavouring.
3. Knead the dough and cover the bowl with a cloth and leave to rest for 1 hour at room temperature.
4. Pour some flour on your work surface and roll out the dough.
5. Using a cookie cutter or a glass, cut out doughnuts, then let the doughnuts rest at room temperature, this time for 30 minutes.
6. Heat some oil in your deep fryer or in a pan and dip the doughnuts. Then drain and cool on paper towels.
For the glaze:
1. Mix the white sugar, egg white, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and a few drops of food colouring.
2. Mix until you have a smooth glaze.
3. Dip the donuts into the glaze and sprinkle with vermicelli.
4. Enjoy!
